Stretch your Mind
Learn to Listen to the Wisdom of your Body
WHO: Adult and Teen Women
WHEN: We have not set the date for our next group, so please let us know of your interest and availability, as that will affect our decision making.
WHAT: Our weekly sessions will consist of bringing attention to our breath, focusing on our physical movements, stretching our muscles, and reflecting on our time together. The goal is to connect the mind and the body through movement in a safe environment, reduce symptoms of tension and anxiety, while removing aloneness. Joining this group will help you become more self-aware, increase flexibility, give attention to your body, and experience community. This psycho-educational movement group allows the body to have a deeper sense of internal connection and regulation. This works to activate the body's nervous system which helps us feel calmer in our daily experiences. We do this as a group to remove aloneness, have fun and allow our minds to live in the peace and joy that we were designed for!
We've changed the name for the group in the past, so it's also been called Movement for Mindfulness and Body Talk.
WHERE: Door of Hope Counseling Center, “The Box” room. 410 Oak Run Point, New Braunfels, TX 78130
